Hotel rich in history, the rooms are not very large and there are not all the comforts but it is really characteristic. If you stay here you will feel like you have been projected back 80 years in some old American film. It's worth staying there at least once. Inexpensive parking.

We loved our stay here! It is situated so close to so many attractions, including the Arch. The rooms were small, but it fulfilled all our needs for the weekend. They keep the hotel locked in the evenings as well so only guests with cards can get in. Would stay again!

I bet this place was really something back in its day. The upstairs ballroom speaks of opulence and elegance of old. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end; just like the maintenance and upkeep on this timeless structure. The rooms smell of mold and the bathroom of rotten eggs, at least in rooms above the 8th floor. For $200/night, I expect a clean room, including bathroom, comfy beds, a mini-fridge and microwave. The beds were comfy and the rooms APPEARED to be clean. That's all I got. Oh, and the staff was friendly. But aside from the smells, were the stains in various places (carpet, sheets, mold forming on nicely tiled shower floor, etc.). I awoke the next day suffering from a continuously runny nose and sinus pressure. And then there were the cobwebs behind the pretty shuttered windows, webs that seemed to contain hundreds of eggs. The walls/door were also surprisingly thin, which I didn't expect in an older building. Hall conversations could be heard clearly. I would not recommend the Missouri Athletic Club, at least not the hotel rooms.

This place had a certain charm, really old style club in a lot of the decor and building structure which is awesome to see. The service was great and the room was pretty clean but it was dated, the hallways reminded me of the movie The Shining. Parking was 18$ a day I believe but worth it, I wouldn't park anywhere else downtown. Overall I'd stay again this place had a great price and provided a clean comfortable room.

I liked the close proximity to the convention center and to be able to walk to dining options. The lobby of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. It contains high ceilings and old architecture that has been well maintained.

This was our first visit to the MAC. We went with friends that are members. The atmosphere was casual and elegant at the same time. The decor was fantastic, featuring beautiful woodwork and iconic framed photographs. It represented a lifetime of sports personalities in history for me. We dined 2 hours before the Cardinal game. My Prime Rib/French Dip was perfect and my wife ranted about her Caesar Salad with Chicken. Our friends were equally satisfied with their dinner as well. Our waitress treated us like celebrities. Given the opportunity we will return in the future.
